Haringey Migrant Support Centre is a community-based organisation, with over a decade of experience supporting migrants in Haringey and neighbouring boroughs. We provide free and professional advice, casework, referrals and signposting on issues relating to immigration, housing and welfare. We also have a Community wellbeing space and advocate for change through policy and campaigns work. HMSC has a staff team of 9 people. We are supported by a team of 40 volunteers.
We run a busy service which is responsive to a fast-changing environment. We are looking for an Operations Coordinator to lead on all aspects of the smooth running of the office, financial and organisational administration and premises management as well as taking a key role in our external communications.
The ideal candidate will enjoy working in a small, busy organisation, and must be confident taking a lead on their own work. You will be part of a committed and friendly team, with the opportunity to develop new skills, contribute to the organisation’s direction, and gain a thorough understanding of HMSC and the wider sector. About the role
This role will provide financial and operational leadership and management for CCLC particularly focussed on the Legal Practice Unit and the Migrant Children’s Project but with support for the Child Law Advice Service and Coram International where required. Managing a small finance team, the role will hold primary responsibility for core financial functions within CCLC including legal aid billing and management and tracking of grant and other charitable funding. Through systematic and efficient financial management, the post holder will play a pivotal role in CCLC’s financial sustainability. The role will act as a key point of contact with Coram’s central finance team and a range of internal and external stakeholders on financial matters.
The role will also oversee the smooth running of the London and Colchester offices through line management of operations and administrative staff.
The role would suit a high organised and efficient business support professional with experience of financial management within the legal or charity sector. In particular, candidates with experience of legal billing and more specifically, civil legal aid billing, would be welcomed.
This is a largely office-based role in order to fully provide support to the finance and operations team. However, some remote / hybrid working may be possible depending the experience of the candidate after the initial settling in period (to be negotiated with the successful candidate).The finance team are split between the London and Colchester offices and the post holder should expect some travel to both locations. The large majority of the legal and policy team are based in London and as such regular (at least twice weekly) presence in our London office will be expected. However, on other days the candidate could be based in the London or Colchester office.

Principle purpose of the post:
The Operations Manager will work closely with the Chief Executive supporting on contractual service delivery (including the management of risk), quality and improvement across the organisation and ensure quality services are provided. Reading Community Learning Centre is an independent charity which provides education and support for women from minority ethnic communities who may be unable to access more mainstream services because of the educational, social or cultural barriers they face.
We are looking for a qualified female ESOL tutor with at least 1 year’s teaching experience to teach ESOL to ethnic minority migrant, refugee and asylum-seeking women with English as a second language (each course is 10 weeks per term). Our ESOL service was established in 2017 and now runs 5 days per week and offers English lessons for resettled refugees and an English Club with an emphasis on learning skills for integration into UK society. We are a growing team of ESOL tutors and creche teams providing training to help refugees and their families to resettle in Bedford Borough and Central Bedfordshire.
SUMMARY OF POST
The ESOL Creche Deputy is a qualified childcare professional able to deputise and support the ESOL Creche Team Leader. You perform a key role caring for children, maintaining a high-quality, stimulating learning environment and imparting your knowledge and skills to others. You are a creative and reflective leader able to implement new ideas and use a range of strategies to continually improve practice. About the role
The main purpose of the role is to coordinate the Methodist Church’s response to the arrival of Hong Kong nationals in Great Britain.
This will involve liaising with the Methodist Church in Hong Kong and with circuits and local churches in Britain to ensure pastoral support for Hong Kong Methodists as they make the transition to this country. You will help to motivate local circuits and churches to welcome and integrate the new arrivals into congregations, and you will provide support and training to facilitate this. You will also develop connections with Cantonese-speaking groups and congregations already in existence, and may be involved in facilitating the formation of new ones. Establishing connections and fostering supportive relationships to enable an effective network that brings together Methodists from Hong Kong and British churches, is key to your role.

You will have autonomy in your role in a supportive and flexible environment, as well as having a collaborative team working with you, including the lead Co-CEO for income generation, youth engagement team managers, the Head of Communications & Marketing, a fundraising contractor (trusts and foundations) and two experienced lead Trustees for income generation and communications. Peer Power Youth has a successful track record of securing income from Trusts and Foundations and earned income through training sales, contracts and consultancy, which has enabled us to achieve individual impact for young people and tangible system change impact for thousands more children and young people.
Now is a great time to join Peer Power Youth. Last year we refreshed our brand and messaging, and we’ve started some of the groundwork needed to develop our Corporate and Major Donor income streams. We have great impact stories to share around the individual impact we have had, and the real tangible system change that has happened in youth mental health, social care and justice systems as a result of our work, that will go on to positively impact many thousands more young people! There is so much to engage potential corporate partners and donors with.
The successful candidate will have excellent commercial awareness, strong communication and inter-personal skills and a demonstrable track record in achieving income targets. A natural at developing and sustaining trusted relationships, you are excited by developing our approach, generating new brand and corporate partnerships, with creative ideas that link to our charity mission and brand.

Flexibility, Travel and Workspace - We know that both flexibility, relationship development and the time to really understand our work and impact is vitally important in this role. You will need to travel around London and South East for partnership meetings, team meetings and events to build relationships to generate income and support for the charity. We support a flexible approach to the times you work and where from, providing the needs of the role are met.
You can either base yourself from your home (ideally London/South east or nearby due to the nature of the role) or from our lovely new office at Fivefields, right by Victoria station or from a workspace in Worthing or Brighton.
